Mark "Coach" Cupp
Founder & CEO

For more than 30 years, I have launched, scaled, and coached local, regional & national growth organizations across multiple industries and revenue tiers. Through the  implementation of proven growth systems to increase top-line revenue and bottom-line profits, my clients have consistently raised their standards and developed an A-Player culture of accountability.

I have also held senior leadership positions in both sales & operations across the supply chain & logistics industry and continue to serve companies in that sector.

I began my entrepreneurial journey in 2005 as an insurance and financial advisor for New York Life. I finished my first full-year production in the Top 1% of all NYL Agents worldwide. In 2009, I launched an independent agency focused on teaching individuals, businesses, and agents strategies to achieve their personal & business goals. I left the financial service business after a life-changing experience coaching my son’s youth football team. Ask me about that when we meet!

Following my desire to be a present father and my heart to provide a “Better Way” to lead my community’s youth, I launched and scaled an i9 Sports franchise in 2013. Our franchise received “Rookie of the Year” & “Operational Excellence” honors in our first year while expanding to 7 locations over the next 5 years. I served as the Vice-Chairman for the National Franchise Advisory Committee and openly shared our growth strategies with other franchise owners, which led to coaching multiple franchises and local businesses.

In 2019, I sold my i9Sports franchise to one of my closest friends to launch Better Way Coaching. We have developed our proprietary P³ Program™️  to serve small business leaders across local communities!

Once a month, we hold peer masterminds in person, on-line, and thru various workshops to teach small business leader to build their business on “Purpose.” We then provide training & tools to multiply their “Purpose” through developing their Leadership, Strategy & Execution skills!

president & Coo

For over 30 years, I’ve been committed to propelling organizational growth and influencing large scale cultural change in demanding and diverse operating environments. I am a results-oriented leader known for building and guiding sizeable, top-performing cross-functional teams committed to forging strong relationships with strategic partners and building consensus across multiple organizational levels through intentional training, coaching, and collaboration.

I have always had a passion for leadership. This started during my gymnastics days back in Long Island, NY and led to my studies at the United States Naval Academy.

After graduating, I served 20+ years as a Navy Supply Corps Officer, where I served as an instructor at the Navy Supply Corps School, earned my M.S. in Operations Analysis, and served in support of both the Navy’s Expeditionary Logistics and Aviation communities.

During my Naval career, I was recognized nationally as an accomplished change agent for successfully managing multi-million-dollar, multi-location projects through continual process improvement that drove value-added solutions and record-setting achievement.

Following my Navy retirement, I spent four years serving as a Business Administrator for a church and private school and then four years serving as the COO for Providence World, an international nonprofit organization that helps transform communities by developing collaborative organizations that empower children and families to flourish.

In both positions, I was responsible for equipping and empowering teams to effectively address challenges and achieve mission objectives through principles of enhanced communications and values-based leadership.

Now as the President & COO of Better Way Coaching, I am fully committed to providing leadership and business development training and coaching that delivers a “Better Way” to build thriving organizations and leaders that are committed to transforming their local communities.
